Penguins
Species of birds
are animal that can fly. Penguins are birds that cannot fly as bird as usual. Penguins
(order
Sphenisciformes, family Spheniscidae)
can
swim very well. The penguins are living especially in Antarctica. Some species
of penguins spend their live 75% in the water. There are 17 species of penguins
have found until now.
A female penguin
lays the egg after mating as a species of bird. The male hold the egg on the
top of his feet. That process is called incubating. The female transfers the
egg to the male and then leave for feed at sea. The male penguins will incubate
the egg for 66 days. After the incubating the egg becomes a penguin chick. They
have big appetites and grow quickly.
The penguins have
no fear of humans. They seem approached the humans without hesitation. In the
Antarctica, there is no land of predators, but the fact, the penguins are at
risk from predator such as leopard seal. They will become nervous when the
tourist or humans take closer than 3 meters.
In short, the
penguins are bird which can swimming but flightless. Being a bird, the female
penguins lay the eggs and incubating the eggs on the male feet. The penguins do
not seem human as predator and they are not afraid near from humans.
