Types of morphemes

Types of morphemes
-Free morpheme
It can exist; an independent word. Example: (sand) and (box)
-Bound morpheme
It includes prefixes and suffixes
Prefixes: re-, pre-, de-, in-, un-, dis-, im-, non-, en-, mis-.
Suffixes: -ness, -ly, -ed, -en.
Example:

Impossible
Nonfiction
Encode
Enlarge
Misunderstand
Happiness

-Derivational morphemes
Example: the suffix –ness is added to an adjective
Example: happiness is formed

-Inflectional morphemes: indicate
í-‘sý    to indicate preposition
í-sý     plural nouns
í-sý     present tense verb for singular
í-edý   present tense verb
í-ený   past participle verb
í-ingý  present participle
